What is Vehicle Title My WaySM?
Vehicle Title My Way, a BerkOne service, works with multiple lenders (lien holders) to provide Lien Release Letters to consumers, dealers, and lenders showing that a motor vehicle loan has been paid off. Dealerships and DMVs accept a lien release letter as proof that a vehicle is free and clear of liens.
What is a Lien Release Letter?
A Lien Release Letter is a legal document from your lender indicating that a motor vehicle loan has been paid in full, allowing the state to release the lien listed on your title.
Who is eligible to request a Lien Release Letter?
The party that paid off the loan with the lender may request a Lien Release Letter. Also, someone who can provide legal documentation that they have taken possession of the vehicle may request a Lien Release Letter.

Can I use my Lien Release Letter to obtain a duplicate title?
Yes, a Lien Release Letter can be taken to a local DMV where you can apply for a lien free title. In most cases you can also provide a dealer with a Lien Release Letter when you trade in your vehicle.
How long does it take to process a Lien Release Letter?
The standard processing time to fulfill and ship a request for a Lien Release Letter is one business day if requested prior to 2:00 pm Eastern Time.
An expedited Lien Release Letter will be fulfilled and shipped the same day if it is received prior to 2:00 pm Eastern Time. Expedited requests received after 2:00 pm Eastern Time will be fulfilled and shipped on the next business day.
All requests are processed Monday through Friday ( except on observed holidays). Requests for Lien Release Letters entered over the weekend or on a holiday will be fulfilled and shipped on the first business day after the weekend or holiday according to the above-mentioned timeframes. If additional information is required from you, your lender, or your state DMV, it will extend processing time. This does not include delivery timeframes.
Can Vehicle Title MyWay fax my Lien Release Letter to a DMV?
Yes, however some DMVs will not accept a faxed Lien Release Letter. You should check with your local DMV prior to placing your request.
Do you have an Expedited Service?
Yes, we do provide Expedited Service for an additional non-refundable fee.
How much does it cost to obtain a Lien Release Letter?
Pricing will vary based on the type of service and options requested. Please go to VehicleTitleMyWay

What information do I need to place an order?
Typically, the following information is required to place an order, but in some cases, we may require additional documentation:
- The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- The name and address of the registered owner
- The state in which the vehicle is titled/registered
- A valid credit card number and billing address
Will my Lien Release Letter be notarized?
The Lien Release Letter will be notarized if the state in which the vehicle is titled/registered requires notary.
I need something other than a Lien Release Letter. Who do I contact?
You will need to contact your lender directly if you have a question that does not relate to Lien Release Letter service. Participating lenders can be found here
Are you able to ship a Lien Release Letter to an international address?
We currently do not support international requests.
I only want the Lien Release Letter to be faxed. I don’t want a mailed copy, can I just pay the fax fee?
The fee associated with an order covers our costs to process your request. Faxing your letter is an added option and not a standalone service.
Why is there a fee for the Lien Release Letter to be faxed to me?
The fee associated with an order covers our costs to process your request. Faxing your letter is an additional option which is not covered in our processing fees.
I didn’t receive a confirmation email with the Vehicle Title My Way receipt after placing my order. How can I get a copy of my receipt?

What forms of payment do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
If I pay to have my Lien Release Letter faxed, how long will it take to receive the fax?

If I pay for overnight shipping, when will my Lien Release Letter ship?

Is there a discount for placing multiple orders at the same time?
We currently do not provide any discounts for multiple orders.
My order did not go through successfully, but my credit card was charged. Can I get this refunded to me?
Please allow 3 - 5 business days for a transaction decline to process through and for a credit to appear on your credit card statement.

What is your Refund Policy?
Eligible Requesters that have provided us with all necessary information required to fulfill their order may receive a refund if, and only if, Vehicle Title My Way fails to provide the documents ordered. In such event, Contact Us
within 30 days of placing your order. In no event will Fed Ex fees, Expedited Fees or Fax Fees associated with your order be refunded once your order has been processed by Vehicle Title My Way.
What shipping options do you offer?
We currently offer the following shipping methods which do not include processing time:
- USPS First-Class Mail – 1 to 5 business days.
- FedEx Priority Overnight – Next business day by 12:00 pm (excluding Holidays).
- FedEx Standard Overnight – Next business day by end of day (excluding Holidays).
- FedEx 2–Day – Second business day by end of day (excluding Holidays).
- FedEx Express Saver 3–Day – Third business day by end of day (excluding Holidays).
If selected delivery service is not available for the requested destination, order will be shipped and billed using the service available in requested destination.
What are the authorization and acknowledgments and why do I need to agree to them?
Authorization and acknowledgments were provided by the legal department to ensure that you are eligible to request this service.
What if I don’t agree to the authorization and acknowledgments?
Vehicle Title My Way will not be able to process your request without the appropriate legal authorizations and acknowledgements to safeguard your rights and privacy. You may contact your lender directly.
I attempted to place my order multiple times, but my order didn’t go through. Does your website lock out my credit card after multiple unsuccessful attempts?
Most credit card companies and banks could lock out credit cards as a security measure to protect their customers. It is not a feature that is controlled by Vehicle Title My Way.
How can I check the status of my order?
You can go to the Order Status
You will need your Vehicle Title My Way confirmation number and the shipping zip code used when submitting the order.
How can I change/correct the mailing address on my order?
You can change the mailing address if your order has not been shipped. Please Contact Us
so we can assist you in making this change.
How can I get the Federal Express Tracking number for my order?
You can go to the Order Status
page. You will need your Vehicle Title My Way confirmation number and shipping zip code used when submitting the order.
The Federal Express Tracking Number will be available once your order has shipped from Vehicle Title My Way.
How can I access the lender portal?
Lender portal access will be made available to you as a part of the implementation phase, when you sign on for our service. Please Contact Us
